2019 Ford F-150 vs 2019 RAM 1500 in Oakville

Perhaps you are thinking of the 2019 Ford F-150, a popular truck in the pickup category. One notable difference is that the new RAM 1500 is available with the 3.6L VVT Pentastar V6 and which includes ETorque technology - a mild hybrid system. Working with a 48-volt battery pack, this feature supports a quick and seamless start/stop function, short duration torque and brake energy regeneration. There isn't a current hybrid option for the 2019 F-150, as Ford will be launching its hybrid version in 2020 only.

When comparing a 2019 Ford F-150 XLT 4x2 regular cab with an eight-foot box to a 2019 RAM 1500 Classic ST 4x2 Single Cab with an eight-foot box there are a few more differences. Engine power is always important and RAM can come with the V8 5.7 litre Hemi engine which produces 395 horsepower, while the 2019 F-150 comes with a V6 3.3 litre engine with only 290 horsepower - which in torque translates to 265 lb•ft for the Ford and a powerful 410 lb•ft for the RAM 150. In the ever-important towing category, the Ford F-150 has a maximum capacity of 2,268 kg (5,000 kg) and the RAM tops out at 3,193 kg (7,039 lb).
